Collaborating Minds LLC will expertly and consistently offer the services of:

Medication Management:

Our motto at Collaborating Minds is to prescribe the least amount of medications to get the job done, but get the job done. I discuss your past medications to evaluate what was effective and what was not effective to best develop a medication regimen that is tailored for you. Dr. Chasity thoroughly reviews prescribed medications and their possible side effects to create treatment plans and monitor their safety and efficacy.

Brief Talk Therapy:

Psychotherapy also known as Individual Counseling, aims to identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts and behaviors. It is detrimental to talk to Dr. Chasity about issues that are or have been difficult for you. Collaborating Minds will work with you to remove negative thoughts and replace them with positive thinking. The goal of therapy is to acquire relief from symptoms, maintain daily functioning and improve your quality of life. Dr. Chasity provides brief talk therapy only. For more specialized therapy, the services of a LPC or Licensed Clinical Social Worker would be more appropriate. **Psychotherapy is being provided to adults only at this time.**

Education for Clients & Their Families:

Mental Illness often has a stigma related to it. Many people are afraid or simply do not want to believe they have a mental health issue. This is why Dr. Chasity likes to educate clients and their families if requested. Dr. Chasity can answer any questions and provide clarity relating to mental health issues. As family members become more educated and knowledgeable concerning mental illness and substance abuse, they can provide better support of their family members.

Mental Health Assessments & Physical Examinations:

Receiving a comprehensive mental health examination assists in diagnosing and treating mental health and substance abuse disorders. Collaborating Minds utilizes evidence based practice methods in order to properly diagnose and treat. Mental health examinations can also differentiate mental health disorders from physical health disorders. I will look at your past medical history and the medicines you are currently taking. You will also be asked about any history of mental illness or mental disorders in your family. Due to Dr. Chasity’s background in Family Practice, she can refer you to the appropriate provider if needed. Exams are helpful when individuals are referred because of problems at school, work or home.

Coordination of Services for Other Healthcare Components:

Coordination of services for other healthcare components helps an individual with a mental illness to access a range of different services in a way that helps them get better and works towards their treatment and recovery. This includes a holistic understanding of a particular client’s health needs, streamlined access to care services and providers, concise information to support client engagement and assistance in communication to help coordinate care transitions. Collaborating Minds will actively assist in helping our clients accomplish safe and effective care.
